Acedemic Blogging.

Today, September 8 2008 I had the pleasure of setting up my very first blog. The process was surprisingly easy, and with just a few simple steps I was able to create a place for myself where I am able to post and share my ideas with others on the Internet. I am very excited about this assignment because I have never really had the need or want for that matter to make a blog. Although I have always been interested in the art of blogging and how it is done. Through this experience I have realized that blogging is not difficult at all and is also quite enjoyable. Although this is only my first blog I already feel as if I am part of a bigger community besides the community of my facebook friends and the friends I have on my messenger list. I am now able to open my thoughts and feelings to a much larger audience and that, I find can be both a very interesting as well as therapeutic experience. Which is why I believe alot of people keep daily or weekly, because it is a way of throwing oneself out there without the physical aspect behind it. It is also I believe to be a sign of strength, bloggers need to be open to critisim and feedback and the knowledge that someone whereverthey are could be reading their blog. I have never really been interested in blogging or ready blogs because I never made the time to become interested in them, to be involved with somebody's life and to share that person's experiences or taken their thoughts and ideas into account. Blogging is a way for others to express themselves, just like artists, photographers, musicians or writers do and hey if you are gifted with the strength to allow others to become part of your life, why not express it over the internet for others to see. Today the Internet has allowed us to explore the web while sharing and experiencing thoughts, fears, aspirations, ect, the list continues to go on. It is interesting to see the type of blogs out there and I am very excited to become a part of this online community. I do not regret not being a part of this community before, because if I had been I believe that I would not appreciate this experience as I do at this moment and that it would have just been yet another assignment I had to do for one of my classes, this fortunatly is not the case. I look forward to expressing my thoughts continuously through the course of the semester.
cheers,
